Mologa - Молога – Mologa (2014)
Dark folk project MOLOGA from Rybinsk performs ancient Russian songs in heavy electro-acoustic arrangements.
From folk instruments one can mention the abundance of ethnic wind instruments, gusli and percussion. Samples of nature sounds and mystical effects give the album a special, original sound.
In general, the album interestingly combines atmospheric textured peg, beautiful female vocals, heavy guitar and electronic parts and a lot of ethnic instruments.
The vocals of the singers (two sliced singers sound in the album), depending on the songs, sound home-like softly, sometimes high, and in an academic style.
