Jivan Gasparyan is one of the most famous musicians in the world, a living legend of world music, a virtuoso of DUDUK - an ancient Armenian musical instrument. Nothing can convey the feelings and emotions of the Armenian people better than DUDUK. Jivan Gasparyan was born in 1928 in Solag village near Yerevan. Gasparyan won Gold Medals at four International festivals, organized by UNESCO. Professor of Yerevan Conservatory, he is the first people's artist of Armenia-musician. Gasparyan has recorded soundtracks for dozens of Hollywood blockbusters. The soundtrack to the GLADIATOR, in which he made a huge contribution and is a co-author of several plays, even received A Golden globe 2001 for the best music for the film.
