Description:

The festival of ethnic and world music "Orion Cup" (Orion Cup) was held in June 2000 for the 6th time. Before the formation of the cultural center “DOM”, it was held at various venues in Moscow, in different years, Sainkho Namchylak, Enver Izmailov, John Rose, Peter Hollinger, Hannes Bauer, Ditmar Dissner, Alexey Aigi ensemble “4:33”, quartet NeTe and Andrei Samsonov.
Orion Cup - 2000 represents world music stars from the capitals of the republics of the former USSR, which is why it was called "Capital". According to the initial plan of the organizers, musicians of different genres from all 15 capitals were to come. It turned out to be more interesting to bring together the best ethnic artists. As a result, the festival acquired an oriental accent, and participants and spectators plunged into the atmosphere of international Friendship. On the stage of the HOUSE within the framework of the Stolichnaya, the following performed: the ensemble of Alim Kasimov (Baku, Azerbaijan), Munadzhat Yulchieva and the ensemble of Shavkat Mukhamedov (Tashkent, Uzbekistan), the ensemble “Ashkhabad” (Ashgabat, Turkmenistan), the ensemble of Djivan Gasparyan (Yerevan, Armenia)
